OD-ing on Waterfalls...

Waterfalled out after Krka? Nooooooo don't be soft, there was Plitvice to come!

I don't even know where to start - the whole place was so massive, there were so many waterfalls to see, and so much variety. I think the photos definately speak for themselves, especially for the colour of the water...



Anyway, there are quite a few different routes you can take round the National Park, combining buses, boats and walking trails... as we were only there for a day we picked one that would maybe take 4-6 hours. So firstly was the bus up the hill to one side of the park, and then we walked back down, around the boardwalks once more, admiring all the amazing scenery and waterfalls jumping out at us round corners.



Apart from the colour of the water, the clarity of it was also amazing. The best bit is being able to see all the schools of fishies and the fallen trees just below the surface.



Some of them, they were loud. I guess being able to get this close up, they would be.



Although all the seperate waterfalls were actually named, needless to say, I can't remember any. Looking at the pics though, these ones have to be some of the best...



And that was only half the park! We hopped on the boat back to where we started and caught another bus to the other end of the park to see "The Big One". There were also some really good birds eye views of the falls... like the ones I found on Google images that looked like they completely weren't real... uhuh, they are!



Then of course I had to persuade the parents to battle through the spitting rain and go down and get up close and personal with the big waterfall. Or maybe I just ran off and they had to follow me...



Another boat back to the main dock, and a few hundred steps later we were - possibly - all waterfalled out. My attempts to divert the car back to Bosnia fell on deaf ears and we pulled up at our hotel for the last night before heading back to Zags.

But Plitvice... wow... I think thats about all there is to say on that one.
