Saw Giant Buddha
On my way back to Chengdu I planned to stop at Leshan, home of the World’s Largest Buddha.
Joined by two girls from Denmark, and supposedly armed with explicit
directions, we somehow ended up on a local bus circling the city before arriving
at the mountain. This eventually got us to our destination but unfortunately at
the same time as the Chinese tourist groups. The crowds created a one hour walk
down the 20 meters which should normally take 15 minutes. Taking a photo of a
supersize Buddha is one sight you can cross off the must see list.
