Determined to see La Sagrada Familia, we spent the bulk of the day at the still unfinished church designed and built according to Gaudi's planes. Meanwhile, we are in disbelief that with the massive amount of tourists paying $20 bucks a head to enter, that the church is projected to be completed in 2026. That would be 200 years to finish if they actually do meet their target date. The architecture is fascinating and the power it eludes is comparable if not surpasses that of the Vatican. The bleachers can hold 1,200 choir members and the acoustics are impressive. Burning fast, I couldn’t stand, let alone walk another minute, so it was back to the hotel for me.
