Shquipe is a dear friend. We started off as penpals when I lived in Kabul and she was very excited when I decided to change my career to development, she was so excited fo rme. When I was planning my trip to Nepal, she kept insiting I move to Kabul, which at the time wasn't even a figment in my imagination. Sometimes I believe that I'm here because Shquipe prayed for me to move to Kabul so that I can pursue my dreams in this country...

I had the honour of hosting Shquipe's 53rd birthday on my terrace as part of the monthly kite flying ritual...
