It was pretty wicked going over to the island though, it only takes just over an hour and from my little island the only direct way is by this crazy modified longtail boat which just happens to be driven by compketely stoned Thais lol. Actually it was pretty AWESOME. so there was only 3 of us on the boat and there was a little bit on the top we could sit on and that was wicked..........well it was certainly another story...how come??? Well the boat nearly CAPSIZED!! i kid you not lol. The driver somehow managed 2 catch a wave at the wrong point on the side of the boat, and because it's too tall for it's length well we nearly tipped it lol. He actually had to cut the engine out and quickly steer the other direction. Ok so at the time i crapped my pants lol, but looking back it was pretty wicked actually. Ha, only in Thailand can you go on a boat driven by stoners and have it soooo close to capsizing in the middle of the sea....oh and then have them all find it highly amusing =D.
Anyways so after my little venture over, it was time to see what ll the fuss was about. I'd tried to prepare myself for the worst, you know coz i'd heard so much about it. But honestly, when i got there somehow it was actually even worse than i thought it'd be!!! Oh man it was like going to boats 'R' us. Boats everywhere, and then on the island it was just person after person...yeah i am like an old lady lol. I've realised i've just settled in very well to chilling, and there certainly isn't many places on Phi Phi to do that.....there are people EVERYWHERE! Too many people for me....and apparently it was quiet when i was there! WOAH....what's it normally like? lol.
Nah to be fair i went to see my buddy and i did........so really Phi Phi served its purpose for me, a meeting point =D. So even though i hated the island itself and 1 night was defo enough, it was a good social point. I guess Phi Phi is kinda like facebook in a way lol....it serves a purpose and heaps of people are there, but really no1 likes it lol. Ok maybe not, but i had to write something else lol. Anyways it was 'buddha' day when i was there, so no parties......WOO HOO boring me =D. I'm like an old woman ruining all the kids fun.
So yey for almost capsizing, like REALLY bloody close lol.....and yey for seeing my buddy =D. And it was trying to help me get back to 'reality' with people too. Unfortunately it can only mean 1 thing after Phi Phi though..........time for the craziness that is, well i'll leave that so you can see on my little map for yourselves =D.
