Each island i'd been to had been totally different which was wicked. This 1 had a really, i mean really big rock on the beach, which would prove to be AWESOME on the morning of my departure, and for the 1st time the beach had way more shells and stuff on it than the other ones i had been to. Straight away it was obvious that it was a way more village'y' type place which i was stoked about. Yeah the food was loads more simple and so was the dorm, but hey i didn't go to Fiji for the food and dorms...PLus they upgraded me for no reason what so ever, so instead of being in a 16 bed, i was in a 3 bed lol...nice :-D
There was 1 reason i was really excited to be here...well the sun was 1, but no there was a way better 1 for this island. I was so stoked to be going snorkelling with reef sharks :). Well or so i thought, that was my plan for this island coz it was super cheap, but being a Sunday when i was there, they don't do any activities on a sunday coz it's still like their go to church and rest kinda day. Which yeah i think is still AWESOME for them, but not for me. So dammit i had no other days left in FIji, so as much as i really wanted to snorkel with the sharks i couldn't! But for now i'll pretend i did, and we'll say it was AMAZING...oh and i even got bitten by 1 too :-D LOL. i'll keep telling myself that anyways.
Ok so seeing as i couldn't do the snorkelling (did it in my head). I spent my random bit of time here just doing random stuff....in other words pretty much nothing. I was using this time to chill out and it was wicked. Just chilling out in a hammock is totally for me. But obviously it wasn't all chilling in a hammock...there had to be a handstand somewhere didn't there? And what better place than on a huge rock in the middle of the beach. A really HUGE rock...which i had to do a bit of a climb to get to the top, but it was bloody brilliant.
I LOVE the fijian people, the fijian islands...how can you beat little volcanic islands with amazing beaches and just gorgeous paradise??? Why did i not have more time??? oh yeah i remember coz i don't have enough money lol.
So this island ended up being another chill out place, as well as climbing up random big rocks just to do a handstand...oh and i nearly forgot...getting asked to the beach by a local Fijian dude after dinner to 'watch the sunset' with him. well that's what he said lol. See having dreads can be great sometimes :P..not that i did go to the beach with him tho lol.
