An Englishman (and woman) in New York

After Ground Zero we walked around to Battery Park to get a distant view of the Statue of Liberty. We then met up with my friend Pakhi for lunch and she showed us where the Abercrombie & Fitch store was (Graham wanted to do some shopping!) After Pakhi had gone back to work, we went to view the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges before making our way to Times Square
We ate at Jekyll and Hyde Theme Restaurant which was okay. I'd been there once before in 2000 and had remembered it as being pretty reasonably priced and a bit of fun, but this time the food seemed expensive and the entertainment was just annoying. The food did taste good though.
Afterwards we went to Greenwich Village for a few drinks. Greenwich Village is where the locals hang out and escape from the throngs of tourists. It looks like a very nice place to be, as there are lots of bars, restaurants and theatres to visit. We didn't stay as long as we would have liked as we had to get the bus back to New Jersey but we'll definitely be back!
