After our last long bus journey of our travels we arrived into Hollywood on Tuesday at 5pm. Our hostel is on Hollywood Boulevard, not far from the Greyhound Bus station. Luckily they had a cancellation so we got our own room instead of a dorm. We walked along the Walk of Fame where all the stars are and then went to Johnny Rockets to eat. This is a typical American Diner! We then walked by Graumans Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre as well. The Kodak Theatre is where they hold the Oscars.

On Wednesday we went to Universal City, which is where Universal Studios are. They also ahve a City Walk with lots of shops there, so we went shopping instead, as we had been to the studios last time we were in LA.

In the afternoon we went to the Hollywood Wax Museum and the Guinness Records Museum. Both were ok but nothing spectacular. The wax museum concentrated on films and was quite realistic but not a patch on Madame Tussauds, and the Guinness Museum was out of date with some of the records. We ended the day with some drinks in Hooters whislt watching karaoke, which was of a surprisingly high standard!

On our last day in LA we did a tour of Hollywood, Beverley Hills, Bel Air and Rodeo Drive, and saw how the other half live. We drove past lots of celebrity houses, and even saw Kelly Osbourne driving back to her house.

In the afternoon we went to Pasedena Mall to watch an advance screening of Chicken Little, the new animation film from Disney. It was free to go and watch, and the film is hilarious. There are lots of subtle jokes for adults that go way over the kids heads! The evening we spent just walking around Hollywood a bit more.
