On Thursday morning we started the long journey to Cedar Point, which took about 5hrs and we stopped a couple of times on the way. The hotel we had booked was pretty small but adequate enough for a couple of nights. We checked in then went back out to Cedar Point for 5pm as that is when our Starlight Passes started.

For those of you that don't know, Cedar Point is the theme park that myself, Graham and Kristi all met at when we worked there in summer 2000. Kristi and Graham both worked on Corkscrew whilst I worked at Kiddy Kingdom. It was in the queue for our social security numbers that I met Graham, and the rest as they say is history...

The park wasn't too busy and our 1st ride was Demon Drop. We then went on MaxAir, Troika, Disaster Transport, Corkscrew, Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak, White Water Landing, Mine Creek ride and then we stopped in Frontier Town for some food. This is when we were introduced by Lisa to elephant ears. This is basically a huge cinnamon pastry covered in sugar as well.

After food it was time for more rides, Mantis, which was actually really uncomfortable and after that the others went on Top Thrill Dragster, but I didn't fancy it after feeling unsafe on Mantis, so I watched and waited whilst the others rode. We called it a night after that.

Next day was another busy day. Luckily we had done a few rides the night beore as the park was fairly busy. 1st stop was Raptor, then we went to Frontier Town to get our photos done in gangster style. Kristi gets a photo every year with whoever she goes to Cedar Point with.

As it was really hot we went on the water rides afterwards, Thunder canyon and Snake Rapid Falls. I was glad we'd put all our stuff in a locker as we got absolutely drenched! After that we decided to go on Millenium Force to try and dry off. The queue was 1hr so we did get a lot of time standing in the sun. It's still my favourite roller coaster in the world, and it's so smooth and fast it's brilliant.

Afterwards we had lunch then Lisa had to go back to Rochester so we agreed to meet up with Kristi and Mark a bit later. So we went off and rode Wild Cat, Iron Dragon, Blue Streak, Calypso, Ocean Motion,Twister and Magnum again. After we met up again, they went on Power Tower, whilst I videoed it, then we went off on our own again. Decided it was time I faced the Dragster, as the queue was only 45mins. I have to say the ride is absolutely brilliant. It's so fast and high it's amazing. Apparently though if you do it at night and sit at the front, you get covered in bugs!

Decided it was time to play some games and look at the shops. I played the Guess the Age game and won a purple monkey, as the woamn guessed 22 and had to be within 2 yrs of my actual age. We then rode Classic cars, well I was chauffered by Graham. We went on the Wave Swinger as well and then I went on Witches Wheel.

Met Kristi and Mark at 10pm for the Laser show. They have this show every night and it is a typical cheesy patriotic show, but this year was a lot better than when we were last there.

After a few more mins in the shops we lfet Cedar Point and drove to Louie's. Louie's is the bar that we all used to go to as it was about 5 mins walk from where we all lived. When we worked there though it was only open to CP employees, but now it is open to everyone. So we went in for a nolstalgic drink, and it looks exactly the same as it did 5yrs ago. The only difference is that Louie died in 2003.

I had a Mai Tai, which still comes in a little bucket and tastes as strong as it did 5yrs ago! Then we headed back to the hotel, said goodbye to Kristi and Mark and headed to bed.
