Our alarm went off at 4:15am, and since we'd only finished packing at 1am we were both very sleepy. We got to the ariport in time for our flight at 7am. Due to the new security measures they recommend checking in 2hrs beforehand, even for domestic flights. This was the first airport we'd been to where you have to catch a monorail to the gates.

Flights were fine. We had to spend 1.5hrs in Denver airport to catch our connecting flight. Denver airport is huge. It was on the flights that we heard the awful news about the London Bombings. Our sympathy goes out to all those people injured or killed and their families.

We finally got to New Orleans around 3pm and after a stupid taxi ride we got to the hostel - St Vincent's Guesthouse. The room was pretty decent with ensuite, but the hostel is not in the middle of the city, and the staff there were most unfriendly.

We walked to the city for a bit of a stroll and then came back to watch some TV. Heard on the nes about Hurricane Dennis being on its way so decided in the morning we would try and change the 1st leg of our next flight.
