Today is our last day in Darwin. We have spent a few days here, but wouldn't recommend spending more than a week actually in Darwin as it is a very small city. However, there are still things to do such as have a walk in Bicentenial Park, or the Botanic Gardens. Also there are various museums to see as well as a casino. They have a night market at Mindil Beach on Thursdays and a scaled down version on Sundays, which are well worth a look. There are also plenty of bars, all catering for backpackers, and a cinema which is cheap on Tuesdays. If nothing else, the hostel we stayed at has a pool, so you can just relax for a few days and take it easy!
The city centre has various shops including a supermarket and plenty of souvenir shops. The centre has a very blue feeling to it as most of the benches and railings are painted light blue. Also, at night, the trees have lights in them - makes the city look very pretty.
