Has been a hectic last few hours. Yesterday, after coming home from the museum, we were pottering round the ground floor of the hostel, playing a few games of pool, when they put a new notice up on the jobs board. The problem we've been finding with jobs is that they want people for over a month whereas we are only here for 3 weeks more. Anyway, to my surprise this job was for 3 weeks, working on a farm just helping round the house and doing a bit of gardening. So that starts on Friday, in a place called Dandaragan, 2hrs north of Perth.

To celebrate we went to Black Bettys. This is a nightclub, and on Wednesday nights it is student/backpackers night. We paid $10 to Billabong and then we were on their beer card, which essentially means unlimited beer all night. Last week we went and it was pretty quiet, but this week we met a load of new people from the hostel. The club also have a live band that plays there every week - they're quite good and play a lot of covers. Anyway, a good night was had by all and we stumbled home at about 2am.

Today, despite our hangovers, we have been to STA travel to change our flights about, and then we went to Kings Park. It is a massive park, 15 mins walk from the city centre. Or you can get a bus or take a tram tour there. We decided to walk to clear our heads. The park itself is beautiful. There are a few walks to do, or you can take a picnic and just marvel the views. It's on a hill overlooking the city centre and the Swan river. There are also parrots that live there and fly about, and a big fountain to sit beside. Very relaxing.

Also, Graham has got a job, in Pemberton, 5hrs south of Perth. It's for 3 weeks also, pruning vines. Will have updates in 3 weeks time once we have finished our jobs.
