on my way.....
I am heartened (is that a word?) at how many people are interested in my trip. I will carry all of your well wishes and good thoughts with me.
I love the transition from place to place....... the ritual of preparation...which begins long before the departure... planning the clothing and "necessary" lotions, creams, medications and such that the traveller anticipates will be needed...the packing, re packing, deciding and undeciding.....remembering and forgetting.....
my miles and years tell me that I ALWAYS pack too much.... and when I don't pack the kitchen sink, I wish I would have.... ha
so, not knowing exactly what I will need for this journey, I am taking the essentials..... shoes and orthotics, sunscreen, pencils and notebook.......some clothes that are suitable for the temperature and culture, phone numbers, insurance cards, peanut butter, your well wishes...... that's about it.
someone recently sent me her good wishes and her closing line was "travel with joy"
I will surely, travel with joy.
