Where I stayed
after a long day of walking and shopping we hoped to accumulate some power for the brain and the body. we thought the best way to achieve this purpose will be to go to the odaiba artificial island ....visit the science museum (which is the best in its category in japan) and then to the oedo onsen...it was a real pleasure!!!
we started our day with "healthy" meal of frapuchino and cinnamon roll at starbucks then we took the subway to the promanade of the rainbow bridge. the rainbow bridge, connects the land with the odaiba island, it is a susspended bridge, 980 m long ...it is huge!!! after ascending 7 floors by elevator we started walking there...the view was stunning...tokyo's skyline in 180 degrees(we couldnt see the other side. the promanade on the bridge is colored in all the rainbow colors...nice!!
with a light dizziness from the height and the huge structures we just crossed we started walking along the artificial shore they built there and since the weather was perfect we saw a lot of tokyoetics lying there...
we arrived at the science museum in the late morning and we thought we will spend there an hour not more but the museum was huge with a very good exhibitions. very similar to the science museum in london this museum is perfect for children and curious adults with a variety of exhibitions about environment, brain science, robotics and a lot of information about innovations in those fields...we were there for a few hours!! after a little hot dog and a muffin we headed to give some relaxation to the body.
we have been in two onsens in japan on this trip but this one is diferent. its like disney spa!!
fonce we get inside we took off our shoes (of course) then we checked in and got our yukatas (simple cotton kimono) this spa is huge and the main attraction for us was Dr fish! what is that you probably ask yourself...this is a pool full of phiranna fish that a gourmet dinner for them is dead skin cells on a human's feet
after leaving about half a kilo of dead skin in the fish pool, we went to the more common treatments there the - minerals baths...wow this is a huge place with a lot of options...very hot bath, mild bath, jacuzi, indoor bath, wet sauna, dry sauna, iced water pool and a few outdoor pools...some of them looks like a wood barrels, i guess this is the way they used to take a shower at the edo time!!
finaly, after i guess 8 diferent kind of baths we tried and a long shower we went outside clean and fresh to the resting room...its a huge space with massage coachs with TV or with out...people seating there, sleeping there for hours...it was a treat!!!
so, happy, clean and a bit tried after all this relexation we did our way back to the hotel. tomorrow sadly is the last day and we have to wake up early for the fish market (we take the subway in 5:00AM) so we must go sleep early!! good night!!
