Trip back to KL was wet, but we were indoors. Spent time with an american - TJ, and my internal feelings were very difficult to keep in, but I did manage. Wandering through KL was fun, eating very cheaply at the indian restaurants that th escottish guy had shown me. Met up again with a danish girl who managed to not realise the date, and ended up with only 50 minutes to get from the hostel onto the plane! But she didn't come back, so fingers crossed. Also met up with 2 brits - and the 4 of us drank first on the roof bar, then at the beach bar in town, which was full of prostitutes, and dirty old western men - so much for malaysia being prude. The american managed to make me pay for a 30 ringitt beer - and this in a country where I was having lunch with drink for 3 ringitt! And then made me buy 3 expensive bar rounds to his 2 in the cheapest rooftop bar! Boy was I looking forward to leaving the city, country that he was in. Also walked over to the national monument of malaysia which commemorates the 1st, 2nd world wars and also the communist war. Got lost for a few hours and managed to walk on the edge of a very dirty brown canal which I think also serves as the sewer.
