After a long boat ride back from Mykonos I arrived at my hotel to what else eat and sleep. I decided the next day to forego Germany for now as I was just not feeling it and opted to change my ticket to Italy. After making all my arragements I took it easy and decided on my last day I would see the final touristy things around town.
As you will see from tho photos I took myself to the Olympic Village which was just marvelous especailly with a blue sky which hasn't really been present due to the heat wave. After I went back to Syntagma Sq and walked along to Monastiraki. Not much to say checked out the locals stores, snap a few shots and took in my last hours in Greece.
From Monastiraki I met up with one the american guys I had met in Santorini for some much needed food. We ended up in Plako area amongst a variety of restaurant and cafes reside. After a really tasty and filling meal I still needed one more thing - ice cream! I'm telling you right now Greece has some amazing freshly made ice cream that is so well presented and creamy I could just eat it all day. We finally found a shop in the area and of course I had my one of 2 favorite combo's - fresh mint and fresh dard chocolate. Yummy... just thinking about it I want more!
Well the night ended as we both had flights the next, mine to Italy and his to Paris.
My next morning was about the first time I had breakfast in the hotel - I always buy fruit from the little stand down the road. I said my goodbyes to the wonderful family who owned the hotel and off I went.
Next stop Milan...
