We were lucky enough to spend time at a timeshare in the Drakensburg at a place called Castleburn. Situated in the central Drakensburg, nestled in the foot of scenic mountainous surroundings, it was the perfect place to appreciate one of the true beauties of South Africa. As you will see in the photographs one of the features close to the resort was natural rapid flowing river in which we were able to swim and ride down on tubes. The icey mountain water, which took your breath away, was a welcome relief from the hot African heat. Four nights were spent up in the mountains before making our way back down to the humidity of the Durban coast.

Both Sundays were spent at Halsemere Dam up the north coast. Early morning arrivals ensured calm skiing conditions and the sighting of wildlife around the dam.

Today we tried our hand at a bit of gambling at the Sun Coast Casino and brought home a total winnings of R800!

Another early start for us tomorrow as we embark on a journey to Hluhluwe Game Reserve for two nights.

So long suckers!!
