Where I stayed

We decided to stay in Cuzco for a few days before moving on towards Puno and Lake Titicaca.

To be honest we primarily just slept, ate, drank and slept a bit more. We bought a couple of paintings from Cuzco, shipped them back home and then slept, ate and drank a bit more.

We did however hook up again with Gustavo and Giovanna, the Brazillian couple from our Trek and introduced them to the delights of the world's highest Irish owned pub in Cuzco. We reckon itīs always good to have a culture exchange. They've invited us to stay with them in Brazil and hopefully, if time allows, we'll get to see them again.

Before we left we went back to see Arturo who owns the trekking company in order to wax lyrical about just how great Herber was as a guide. After the problems we had employing a muppet guide in Chachani, Herber was a delight!

Next door to Arturo was a British owned bar which offered the full British Sunday roast with all the trimmings. After being away for 9 months we finally settled down to an afternoon of roast spuds, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, gravy etc. Pure bliss.

When Louise went to pick up the laundry from a small Lavandaria around the corner from our hostel she noted that her favourite black t-shirt was missing. The woman behind the counter swore blind she'd never seen it though we're pretty certain we heard her say in Spanish "it's a bit tight but I really like it"...the joys of travelling!
