Today, we went on a ziplining adventure.  It was phenomenal (see, I know other words besides awesome!).  The tour is on the grounds of a free-range cattle ranch in Princeville, on the north shore of Kauai.  After getting geared up (and told how our safety gear could hold 12,000 lbs each!), we were off.  The ziplines started off small (and thankfully so, because I looked Matthew dead in the eye before the first zipline and admitted how scared I was).  Shaking in my boots scared.

All that fear was for naught.  The first zipline rocked!  Now, I was just excited...

We ended up zipping a total of 8 lines, with the longest being 740 feet and the highest being 150 feet up.  When Matthew and I remembered to look all the way down, we saw some pretty cool stuff...including 6 different streams under one zipline.  We also had to cross over a pretty scary looking suspension bridge, and one of our tour guides thought it would be funny to shake up the bridge as Matthew and I were crossing.  Can you guess what I thought of that idea?

After 7 lines, we hiked down to a small waterfall and freshwater pond.  We cliff-dived about 12 feet into the icy cold water, and floated around on inner tubes for about 20 minutes while our guides got lunch ready.  We ate, dried off, and trekked back up the hill...the last zipline was my favorite, and we were both sad that the zipping was over.

Because the tour ended a little early, we headed up the highway to see more of the North Shore.  We snapped a great picture of the mountains that we hiked on Saturday!
