Matthew and I did nothing today, and it was everything we ever thought it could be...the weather was much colder, and it was extremely windy...since going to the beach or pool were out of the question, we simply relaxed in our room, watched some football, and went on a hunt for some roosters!  We hope you enjoy our two rooster videos (lest you think we were kidding about how loud they can be).

Since our day was chock full of nothing, we thought we would tell you guys about all the animals we have seen since coming to Kauai.  On our first night here, we spotted two sets of humpback whales right outside our resort...and this time, the whales jumped out of the water!  It was amazing.

On our very long hike yesterday, we spotted a bright red bird with black wings (lacking a bird-watching guide, we have no idea what kind of bird it was).  Suffice it to say, it was the reddest bird I have ever seen!  Toward the end of our hike, we also saw a nene ( pronounced nay-nay), a type of goose found only on Hawaii.

I'm sorry, there will be a slight break in the middle of this entry, because I just watched T.O. cry on national TV about how mean people are being to poor Tony Romo.  Hilarious.

Okay back to the animals.  There are quite a few animals right here on the grounds of our resort.  The pool that surrounds one of the restaurants is filled with huge koi.  There a three or four ponds out front where several different kinds of ducks and swans live.  And we have even managed to spot a few lizards among the palm trees (too quick for us to snap any pictures).

We are heading out tomorrow morning to go on our zipline adventure...if all goes well, we should have some cool videos of Matthew and I zipping through the trees!
