We have survived our first Hawaiian hike!  Matthew picked this one out...our travel book entitled it the "Acid War Zone."  It was, in a word, AWESOME! 

Seriously, at different points in this fairly short (2 hour) hike, it felt like we were in Maui, then Ireland, and then Mars!  As you will see from the pictures, this hike took us along the cliffs on the Western shore of Maui.  Over time, the sea spray "eats" away at the lava rock, creating what looks like a Martian landscape!  And then the real treat, a HUGE blowhole!  Needless to say, we did not stay dry...here are a few of the best pics from the hike...
