In Frankfurt, the airport was crazy. We headed down the terminal to switch from the C to the B terminal and it was clearly the longest airport terminal i've ever been though...was enormous. Switchign from C to B when we got there was long too. They need a train system like Atlanta...
Finally, when we got to our gate everything was sorted but oddly, instead of boarding the plane we boarded a bus to the plane. The plane (an Airbus 319) is a big jet but we used stairs to get to the plane. I think Frankfurt does not have enough gates to accommodate the number of flights. This seems like an odd solution.
Anyway we got to Sofia and grabbed a taxi to the hotel. It was surreal as I've never been in a country before where I couldn't read the text. The Cyrillic text is confusing but with the help of our Lonely Planet guidebook we found a taxi that was fair (but didn't speak english). The ride is was really long as we hit rush hour but interesting nonetheless.
At the hotel I was really underwhelmed by the hotel so we decided to switch to a swanky hotel right on the main square in Sofia. I'll have pics for you ttomorrow of that.
