Not much to report for today - more food, naps in between and lots of changes to the spectacular scenery (the pictures will tell more). Ivan saw a kangaroo (I was lying down reading so didn't manage to get up quickly enough) and we had one of his brothers for lunch (first time trying kangaroo, it's very much like steak). We stopped to take on water in a place called Cook, where there are only four residents - it used to be a busy thriving place but it's like a ghost town now. Again it was a good opportunity to stretch the legs and burn off at least a few of the calories we've taken on in the last few days.
Back on the train we both saw some wedge-tailed eagles (which are the mascot/symbol of the Indian Pacific) but otherwise it's a very strange experience to go for thousands of miles and not see much signs of life.
