Just a quick note before I start my Saturday. Today is Feb. 26 and as hard as it is to believe it was four years ago today that I heard the words, "you have cancer." Thankfully, today I can say that I'm a four year survivor. I have been thinking of the milestone this week especially because of all the recent changes in my life. My heart is full of gratitude and awe of where life has taken me in these four years. Each day I try to remember that every day is a gift and to live it with zest, love and grace. It's easy to let go of the little annoyances when I remember this.

So, today - I'm treating myself to a day of pampering - getting my nails done this morning, then a massage at my gym, during this time my ayi (housekeeper) will be cleaning my apartment - can't believe this is me, can you? Then I'm coming back to my place to meet her for my first cooking lesson. I plan to take pictures and will share them - it's going to be a great day -

thank you for this day, this life, and most dearly all my friends and family.
