Toronto - great to be re-united with family again! The bulk of this leg of the trip was spent on two great weddings. Congrats to Lovedeep & Parm and to Kulwinder & Aman. Both weddings were amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We also gave Kulwinder a Stag night here; which he won't forget for a while! Of course the obligatory excessive eating and drinking had to be done throughout all the wedding celebrations.

Took some time out to go see the usual attractions; CN tower and Niagara Falls. Out of the two, I'd definitely recommend going to the latter. We took the Maid of the Mist steamboat which took us down to the base of the waterfall. At one point all you can see is water flowing around every way you look - it feels like you're in a Hollywood movie -  and you get truly soaked!

Closer to Pickering we ventured through some woods and stumbled across a cliff leading down to a river. It was very scenic (Awesome potential session spot, but you'd have to watch your step, so maybe not such a good idea..) We also had a good laugh on the beach, although it was a fairly small beach leading to Lake Ontario.

Anyway onwards to Vancouver and time for a detox(!) Already missing fam from Canada, Cali, Scotland and London areas

After a long enduring journey, we finally arrived in Toronto. Due to the rigourous checking at the Canadian border we were over an hour late. But it was nice to see familiar faces and have home-cooked food once more!!! We were greeted by the traditional ritual of  'oil' being poured at the door before we entered the house and then welcomed by the rest of the family. It was nice to be spoilt rotten again!!!

The reason for coming to Toronto was to attend two weddings (one on my side of the family and the other on Sharndeep's side) We were looking forward to being part of Parm and Lovedeep's, & Kulwinder and Aman's special day. We were one of the first guests to arrive from overseas for Kulwinder's  memorable day, so we were truly involved in all the wedding preperations. Parm and Lovedeep had everything under control and organised so they didn't require a helping hand.

Amongst all the wedding preparations, we took time out to visit Toronto's main attractions. The panoramic views of Toronto's sky line from CN tower were amazing, but we found it a bit pricey for what it was - purely a tourist trap. We missed out on the new attraction at CN tower, 'edge walk' (involves walking outside around the edge of the tower...) which was scheduled to open in a couple of days. I probably would have 'chickened out' even if it had been an option.

Niagra falls on the Canadian side (Horseshoe falls) were truly amazing. We did take the 'maid of the mist' boat, which takes you as close to the natural  horseshoe falls as you can possibly can get. It was an awesome experience (stand at the front of the boat on the upper deck if you really want to feel like you are in the waterfall).

Lake ontario was only a short drive from where we were staying. Sharndeep and his brothers decided to play 'kabaddi' on the beach, while mum and I just admired the beautiful views of the lake.

I even managed to read a book- which is a massive achievement for me!!! In my day to day routine I barely get time to read the newspaper, but I really enjoyed reading 'The Alchemist'. It was actually very inspiring and is all about following your dreams and taking risks to achieve your dreams. If anyone else has any recommendations for other books......let me know.

We were scheduled to attend Parm's and Lovedeep's big day first. It was really nice to catch up with family.............. and Parm looked beautiful as ever! The reception day was very well organised and attention to detail was paramount. Well done both did a remarkable job!!!!

Kulwinder's and Aman's wedding was a diferent experience. We were more involved in every aspect.........even having input on Kulwinder's attire on his big day!!!! I was given the responsibility of making the house look fit for a wedding. Both Aman and Kulwinder looked gorgeous and graceful on their special day. We had so much fun and danced till the early hours of the morning.

Wedding celebrations equals unecessary eating!!! We had so much food; Samose, Pakore, Spring rolls, fish, paranthe .........list is almost endless. By the end we were fed up of the Indian party food.

God bless both couples!!! Wishing them a wonderful beginning and love to last a lifetime!!!!
Time just flies when you're having fun..........and it was time to say our goodbyes already! It was sad that we couldn't spend more time with the new additions to the family - Aman and Lovedeep........But i'm sure we'll reunite in the future!! We had a fantastic time here with all the family.......Now off to Vancouver to start the next leg of our journey.
