I will end this, I promise. But as long as I'm finishing up some of the older posts, I figured I'd also write about my on-going re-adjustment. There are hard habits to break - throwing my toilet paper into the trash, wearing shoes in the house to name a few. When I hear others speaking a foreign language, usually Spanish, I slip into Russian mode. Some old things that I didnt' miss that I'm having a hard time adjusting to - traffic, phone menu systems. TV and all the choices at the supermarket are still be bit overwhelming.

I don't feel like this journal is complete yet. I have a lot of things written that I wasn't able to post and will continue to add for a little while. So check back when you can.

I'd also like to get some resources up for future PCVs or others traveling to Uzbekistan. Things like a packing list or other useful information.

Thanks for following along on the journey. I started this journal as a way to keep in touch with family and friends back home. It amazes me how many others have found it and comment that it interests them. My little ramblings seem to have found an audience.

The question I get most often is "What will you do now?" Well, I guess I'm just going to delay answering that as long as possible. I'm going to rent an RV and drive around the US for awhile with Jordan and Colleen. We are going to fly an Uzbek flag from the back and stop at any Rotary Club that will give us a free lunch and tell them about Uzbekistan. We leave after New Year's and will be gone anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Maybe I'll figure out what to do next while on the road.

Peace!

Shari
