Wedding Fun in San Diego
Trip Start Jun 20, 2003
20Trip End Mar 01, 2004
Our last day at work was Thursday, June 19th and we left for San Diego on a 6 am flight on Friday morning. Wheeh! We flew to San Diego to attend Sally Joo's (now Bailey) wedding. San Diego was the perfect setting for a romantic wedding. The bride and groom were amazingly relaxed before the ceremony and, after a somewhat gloomy start, the weather ended up proving perfect for the ceremony and receptions. We also got to meet up with a few friends from Susan's residency, such as Shuvo and Tatiana. And we got to see our good friend Neelesh and his daughter Natalie, who at two years old is very shy of the camera but just so adorable that we kept trying to get pictures of her smiling. We also got to see Susan's cousins in L.A. before we headed off to our flight to Panama. Hopefully, we've convinced them to join us on the trip, maybe in Turkey or Egypt.
It was the best way to spend our last weekend in the U.S., and definitely rekindled our thought that Southern California might be a wonderful place to end up after the trip. But that is a thought we can reserve for a much later time. For now, we're off to see the world!
