During our last day in Canada, Shannon was shopping for a jug of maple syrup for her mom and came across a store full of maple products. The syrup farms were closed at the time, actually so was the maple store but with a short phone call the owner said he was still in the building and would open up just for us. There was maple butter, maple creams, maple taffy, maple mixes with chocolate, maple candies, and many amounts of syrup in containers.
"One gallon of maple syrup please. " Shannon asks. After the transaction and some chatting and education on the world of maple syrup, Shannon and Jessica were invited to try a piece of freshly made maple candy and see the workshop where the maple chef does his work. With a satisfied sweet tooth, they leave with their syrup towards the American border.
