Hey gang,
It's been a while since my last post but here goes! Last Sunday was a great day in Brunswick, ME at the Saltwater Music Festival. Great crowd including one lady who practically demaded a stack of blank postcards so she could pass them out to the crowd. She also got the MC to announce our table about 5 times so we pretty much made up the originally slow week with 232 postcards total. =) I also met a bunch of great people including two awesome pairs of sisters who stuck around to chat and made me all the more excited about Daniel's arrival in NYC. We finished up the day of music and good weather with a bout in Rebecca's invention, the 'Stupendous'. Think a giant human-sized rubber band that you stretch and launch each other in. Gives ya the absolute giggles I tell ya! (well, at least it makes me laugh until my stomach hurts). Good times, good fun =).
Then, it was off to the Morris County Fair. We had a MUCH better turnout as compared to the Genessee County Fair including lost of little kids who marched off with our yard signs, stickers and temporary tattoos. SOOOOO cute! At one point these little girls were chanting, 'Save the polar bears!!!' over and over again while forming a mini-picket circle. Plus, one of our friends from the road came out for a guest appearance as the polar bear and brought in tons more people to our table-- we practically had our jobs taken care of without having to lift a finger =P.
K, I actually gotta run now-- but before I go, one absolutely hilarious observation from the county fair: Cletus LIVES! I know, it's mean, but I couldnt get over it! I swear, for a while, right in front of our table sat a family of slacked-jawed-yokels!!! Two grandparents, two grandkids, just chillin, lookin very...from the country. Alright, nuff of being mean, I'm out. More updates later, I promise =)
