The title says it all.  Jen found Shane's ring in the back of the car hiding under the rubber covering the bottom of the trunk.  The celebration was epic.
Well, after all that excitement, we took a little trip to Houston.  Our friend David came with us, and great fun was had by all.  On Tuesday, Jen visited some old colleagues from Harvard, now working in Houston.  At that time, Shane and David proceeded to wow and zow everyone with their mad wiffle ball skills at the University of Houston.
Wednesday we went to the Johnson Space Center.  It was amazing to say the least.  We spent about four hours there, and wished that we could have stayed for another four.  We got to see the old control room that they used for all the old Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions.  We also got to see the vehicle training and testing grounds, where the astronauts train on full size replicas of the actual shuttles, and space station parts, etc.  We saw a few good films, and lots of artifacts, including the actual capsule that sent the first American into space.  We even got to eat astronaut ice-cream.
After that, we went to the boardwalk, on the shore of the Gulf, and ate crabs, and rode an old rickety roller coaster.
Now we're back in Austin for another week, and after that it's of to New Orleans Jazz Fest!
