Where I stayed
Suzy's apartment
After Vail we stayed at Uncle Peter's house in Colorado Springs. It was very nice, and he cooked a delicious dinner for us. The next day we drove to Amarillo, TX, which was pretty much uneventful except for driving through the Oklahoma pan handle (which was still uneventful). Finally we made the last leg of the haul to Austin. On the way, we stopped at a dairy queen for some ice cream, in one of the small towns we passed through, and everyone stared at us (it was probably Shane's crazy hair). After driving through flat, tree-less landscapes all day, it was wonderful to arrive in Austin, a place booming with many richly green trees, and colorful flowers... and sky scrapers. So far we've just hung around and relaxed. This weekend is Reggae-fest, but it's been raining all day, and should continue all weekend. :(....... We are excited to go see lots of live music, and play mini golf, and maybe some disc golf. We're also going to take a little trip to Houston next week. We'll keep y'all updated... promise.
