Today we had some of the best skiing of our life! It was our last day at Mount Hood, and it was also the only time we had when the Cascade lift to the very tippy top was actually open, so we made the best of it. First we skied into Heather Canyon, which we had been to before, just not from that high up. Next We skied into Clark Canyon, which was one of the craziest, most awe-inspiring runs ever. It's a huge canyon, above the tree line, with nothing but snow, snow, a few large rocks, and more snow. And it's steep. It's like something from a ski movie. All in all, in was one of the best ski days of our lives.
Now we're back in Portland, but just for the night. Tomorrow we drive down the coast to California's redwood forests.
