Where I stayed
Cooper Spur Mountain Resort
On Monday we had a delicious breakfast of stuffed french toast and fruit. Then we went to the Whaler Museum and learned much of the history of whaling. The real highlight of the day though was the snorkeling. We rented some snorkeling gear, flippers included, and walked over to the the black rock, which we heard was the place to go see sea turtles. We spent a while looking at the reef and seeing all the different fish, not sure if we'd ever see a turtle, when suddenly Jen popped her head out of the water and yelled, "Sea turtle ahead!" That was one of three turtles we saw that day, and they were all pretty amazing.
Tuesday was the day we said goodbye to Hawaii. Not to say the day was without excitement though. First thing in the morning we drove over to Lahaina and Shane got his wedding ring tattooed right onto his finger.
After that we headed to the airport and headed back to Portland.
Today (Wednesday) was a day of errands mostly. The best part was taking the tram to meet Lulu and Eric for lunch. Yeah, there's a tram in Portland, and it's wicked sweet. Shane was glad to play his bass again (thanks Lulu and Eric for keeping it company), and Jen was glad to mail her fellowship application. Late tonight we arrived at our honeymoon cabin at Cooper Spur on Mount Hood, and we're excited for skiing.
