Day 10 took us on a 5 hour journey from the desolate anti Atlas Mountains, over the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m) and on to the scenic Toubkal National Park.

Just out of the market village of Asni, we stopped into the restored Kasbah Tamandout, owned by Sir Richard Branson.

The road ended at a small village called Asni. I added to my growing list of different transport means by hiring a mule to take me up a mountain with stunning views to our hilltop tribe Armed. So impressive is the scenery that film director Martin scorsese chose Imlil as one of the locations for 'Kundun', temporarily transforming the Kasbah into a Tibetan Monestery.

I spent the afternoon chatting away to the locals... most of which were friendly except a few boys who decided to throw rocks at Maria and I whilst on our hill top drinking.

The hilltribe is very basic but not as basic as the one in Sapa, Vietnam. We slept on cushions, 3 to a room. I shared with Thomas and Gary.

For dinner we had a Tagine along with salad and fruit for dessert.
