Here I am in Dublin... my last day in Ireland. I left my B&B in Ballycarry at 9am this morning, and arrived into Dublin 2 hours later. After dumping my bag in my room, I caught a public bus into the city centre and boarded the city's excellent hop on and off tour. This tour gave me an excellent overview of the city in a very short amount of time. Dublin is an attractive city, and one in which I would of liked to have spent more than 1 night. Of all of Ireland, I will probably only, if ever, return to Dublin. I feel as though I've done the country justice.

Of all the 21 stops on the hop on and off tour, I prioritised the Guiness Brewery tour. This huge success story started in 1759 with Arthur Guiness. I had to do the tour because of my love of the stuff. The brewery's sight itself is huge and covers over 200 acres. The tour covered one small part of the sight but is probably one of the best breweries I've been to. Little old Perth got a mention on one of the information boards... transporting Guiness to Perth is a little difficult given that it is transported by road for 4 days!

I've got home on the mind now and can't wait to hit Australian soil. I'm totally undecided as to whether I will continue come the 3rd of July... I will use my visit to Perth to consider what I do over the next 6 months but it sure will be good getting back home to the comforts I've gone without for the last 6 months.

Tomorrow I'm off to Amsterdam... one of my favourite cities. It's been 12 years since I last visited. On my last visit, which was at the end of my time backpacking around Europe, I had no money, except 10 euros to get to the airport. For about a week, I had to beg other backpackers for food. I was only 20 at the time and did it rough. At least it won't be like this this time:)
