Chichester:

Milli says;
We got another cheap train ticket and were off on another of Milli and Shanes Bogus Fantabulous Super Fun Happy trips....to Chichester. The name itself was enough to want to go there (I call it Chichi) but the allure of art galleries galore really drove it home. Not really but there you go.

So we got the train and it went via Brighton and we were so tempted to get out and stay out there but it was the road already travelled and we picked The Unknown. Scary, no.

Boring, slightly. Sweet and old fashioned, yes. Lots of little streets and cute cafes and pubs, a nice church and some fields. We freaked out as we looked for accommodation but Shane being the Studley McBrown that he is (he may not have made me say that this time but by golly he's obviously got into my subconscious so I take no responsibility) found a good pub with a cheap room! Hazzah!

We wandered around, got some Italian liquorice and visited the church. Had some beers, some soup and then had some nice wine in a French restaurant and kind of wished we were in France! Not to take anything away from Chichi, as it was a lovely quiet English town, but we are ready to move on!

Took the train back to our awesomely outrageous sharehouse and continued to lay low to save money. We spent lots of time researching the countries we wanted to go to and booking flights online (well Shane did most of the booking as I was the eye candy...I'm sure all the gangs of 10 year old kids loitering outside near the flats really appreciated me in my coat and scarf as we have turned the heating off) but we are nearing the end of our London time here and are off to Italy tomorrow!

Shane says:

We purchased another 3 pound train ticket. This time to the exotic land of Chichester. At first it looked like we might have gambled and lost; The place looked like Maryborough in QLD, and all the accommodation we came across were after about 80 pounds a night. This was about 50 pounds out of our price range. Luckily for us I had also purchased return tickets to London from Brighton - which was about 45 minutes away. Unlucky for us that 45 minute train would would cost about 15 pounds each. So we resigned ourselves to the fact that we would be spending about double what we could afford to on accommodation, I thought I would check the one pub next to the train station, even though they had a sign out saying no vacancies, turns out that they had a room spare for 45 pounds for the night. win win.
We checked in, we waled around, we drank lots of wine and had chinese for dinner. Then we left.

So recently we have done bugger all as we need to save all the money we can - we've spent about 2 and a half thousand dollars each on flights to and from south America. Today I did catch up with an old high school friend - Mark, and his girlfriend Adele, and that was really cool. We did go to Ripleys Believe it or Not the other day and that was fun (I got us in half price through some choice wheeling and dealing, and a two for one value card) as you can see by the photos of my finger in the waxed ladies ear. good day.

Tomorrow we leave for the airport hotel, and then off to Bracciano, Italy. Life is good.
