4/8/10
Today was the day of the ‘dry mouth’ (aka hangover day). We insisted that Bert woke us up in the morning so we could go with everyone to a small town at the top of the lake. We went to have cappuccino with breakfast and then we had a look at the market. The rules: 10 euro each and the men carry the bags!

We were in ‘struggletown’ for most of the day, must have been because we were mixing our drinks? Hmm?
After the market we went back to the camping ground to spend some time at the lake. Early that morning Bert and Ina had laid some towels on the rocks to save us all a place. We had a swim in Lake Garda, it was magnificent. The water temperature was perfecto and there was an unbelievable backdrop of mountains to look at. There is a walkway under the road to the lake that the original owner made many years ago. The only hazard was the rocks, I only fell over once! Shane got a bit of colour (red colour). We had some of Ina’s spaghetti with Salmon and Spinach for dinner which was really nice.  We had a few biers and then a cup of tea after dinner and we were ready for bed.
Our ‘tour guide’ Bert’s favourite line “it’s not a problem” – we like that line too.

Today was sleep in and rest day, Bert and Ina kindly brought some food up to our caravan and left it in our fridge for when we woke up.  It rained for most of today, so we relaxed at the camping ground then went to Riva to have a look at some shops and then headed back to the camping ground where we had some Italian pizza and lasagne for dinner. Chrissy – I had my first carafe of chilled red wine, the wine was cheap!
