I finally caved and bought myself a straightner, although once I am outside for more than 15 minutes it's pointless!
On Friday night, Johan (our boss' P.A.) took us out to... a new mall! ha ha. Except we didn't go to shop we went to Bubba Gump's for dinner. It was really good - mostly because it was food from back home! I ordered a drink and our waiter told me " you know that has alcohol in it" and I said " Oh yes I know, do you need to see my ID?" and he said " No, but I was just asking in case you are Muslim". So I guess I am starting to look like a local! Johan then toured us around KL. He showed us where the bars are, golden triangle and we took some pics of the towers at night. It was really awesome to cruise the city at night.
On Saturday I got up, worked out (for the first time..ugh), went for a swim and then.... went to a new mall! (Who have I become?!) I ended up getting a foot massage for 30 mins that was only 20RM. I would choose to have needles injected for 30 mins, rather than do that again, it was painful and I would classify it as a grinding massage :S. This mall was massive, it's near Imbi and has 10 floors, and a rollercoaster! We spent a few hours there and then went back home to get ready for the night out.
We started out at a hostel bar, called Reggae Mansion and managed to polish off some cocktails and jugs. Then we headed to The Beach Club. This was a very interesting, because there were guys, girls and its. The Beach Club was the type of place to go to once you've had a few drinks. It was a good time, with awesome music. We met up with a couple other people from our apartment and went to another club called Zouk. Again another fine pick, but with just guys and girls....(so we think)!
On Sunday Andrea had arranged a mini field trip to go see monkey's and fireflies. I was pretty hesistant to let monkey's jump on me, as I was in a rather delicate state. I did feed them and watched them maul everyone else who had food for them. They are perfectly safe and not aggressive. We then went for dinner at a chinese place - which was the best chinese I have had thus far. Then got on a boat to go see fireflies. It was so cool; they were like little mini christmas lights blinking in the trees and bushes. We ended up getting home around 10pm and just stayed in.
After 2 weeks I think I am finally settled in and more relaxed. (No not just because we had a night out on the town!) :P
