Zip lining in the forest at Bariloche was excellent fun.  We were driven out to the base of the forest and kitted up with our harnesses and then driven by 4x4 up into the forest where we began.  There were four of us doing the zip lining and 3 staff - one at each platform to send you off and receive you and this dude taking photos of it.  Am pleased to say that there are many photos of me grinning like a monkey flying through the trees.
That afternoon I got dropped off at a mirador on the way back to Bariloche town.  From the base you take a chairlift for about 10 minutes up to the top and the views of the lake district were amazing.  Really pretty and peaceful up there and lots of photos taken.
On the Thursday I went on a boat trip for the afternoon across one of the biggest lakes and we got dropped off at 2 points to wander round the islands, one was called Isla Victoria, the other I have no idea.  Was very scenic and a gorgeous sunny day.  Got a bit more colour on my arms.
Then on the Friday an early start as was taking the 3 lake crossing to Puerto Varas in Chile.  Buses and boats all day.  Turned out to be accompanied on the trip by a bus full of retired american couples and so the trip was quite pricey but a very lovely way to cross the Andes and get to Chile.  Well organised and the second lake was a very lovely green colour due to minerals in the water.  Amongst the many old Americans (loud and slightly annoying if honest) was this Polish dude.  31 and with a name full of consonants which I cant remember.  Spoke great English though and we hung out a fair bit.  Had lunch together in alpine restaurant and then took walk up to a waterfall.
Puerto Varas is a pretty little town.  Stayed in great hostel, comfiest bed I have stayed in in a long time.  Mooched around town for 2 days, saw some sights, drunk some coffee and read a book.  Very relaxing.  The highlight though was finding a fellow Liverpool supporter (guy from Ireland running marathons across south America) and watching Liverpool beat Man Utd at home by 4 goals to 1.  Excellent.
