I found the "LOST ARK OF THE COVENANT".  It is in the sleepy little town of Axum in northern Ethiopia.  The air is clean, a wide main paved street with little vehicular traffic but a fair number of donkeys, burros and camels..        & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;         & ; ; ;nbs p;    Visited the holy Cathedral of Haile Selassie and the neighbouring revered Church of St Mary of Zion which contains the precious Ark if the Covenant.  Witnessed a colourful holy procession circle the church 3 times - priests in red and gold robes being shielded from the sun red and gold and purple and gold parasols and followed by a throng of bare-footed believers covered in white shawls!!  Very impressive!!  The next day visited the site of the Temple of the Queen of Sheba and had Professor Helmut Zeigert, archaeologist doing a dig at the site, spend over an hour with me explaining Ethiopian pre-Christian and present Christian history dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D..Amazing!

I hope you took notes on the Ethiopian pre-Christian and present Christian history dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D. I would be very interested in hearing this! I suppose I could look it up online, eh? Ah, in person would be more interesting.
