Today at 6am I arrive in Madrid tired and no where to go anyways i just get off the bus and lay there on the concrete for an hour then i go into the bus station and sit for like an hour then I have enough energy to set out and search for someone that speaks english, how is it in spain? Bad. Every single person says No they donīt even know simple similar words. When I do find someone that says yes they speak english i usually find out they are lying and all they no how to say is ĸes, I speak some english. But I say internet? computers? Cyber cafe? Library? hostels? city center? and then ones that speak english never know what i mean by those words so I leave the bus station start walking and asking and nobody can tell me anything until i give up and just sit by the side of a building, someone comes out back on a smoke break, do you speak english?Ļ I ask, no, but they still come up and keep talking to me in spanish and wait for an answer I donīt understand but they just keep talking.
Eventually he brings me some coca cola. and he keeps talking so i keep trying to ask for directions, he leaves comes back brings me a double cheese burger so he thinks i am asking for food? All I want is directions, but I am broke and would have just ate bread today since I already broke my budget on an expensive bus, so I eat it then he points to his cheek and wants a kiss, so I get up and slowly sneak away. This is not the first time this has happened I donīt know if I should consider people creepy if they want a kiss or thats just how they say goodbye here.
In France everybody wants kisses on the cheek even if you are a stranger, when i first go to france I was meeting some people and some guy tried to move closer for cheek kissing time and i moved back and i offended him. He said Ļ"oh, YOu are AMERican!" then held out his hand sharpley and stiffley as to shake my hand coldly and said "As YOU like." Well luckily i stumbled upon an internet cafe on my own and it says internet on the side, same way as in English so I donīt know what íīM doing wrong.
