On our last morning, Oliver played Stevie Wonder at 6:30am. The crazy dancing occurred after espresso, so perhaps some cause and effect. Then again, given all of us on vacation, maybe just normal behavior. Oliver drove us to the airport in no traffic (due to Easter Monday). I endured lots of irritated agents at the check-in counter - one was suspicious of my dirty passport (dropped in soot in India), another was angry that I'd reserved a vegetarian meal (not available for standby tickets).

We all did some last minute shopping; Rhonda gave me some gifts for people in Atlanta. I'm much cheaper than UPS and FedEx. Then Craig and I had an easy, direct flight home to Atlanta, in business class again. (So spoiled, now, so spoiled.)

We both felt like we'd been away for ages, especially Craig, who hasn't had a real vacation since he started his job last year. For me, this trip was a last little spurt of a break. I'm ready to deposit money in my bank account as opposed to only withdrawing :-)

Not much to write this time - my purpose was visiting friends more than the unexpected life in a wacky country. I only see Kalisse about once a year, and our conversations are not so fascinating to blog about. Hence the lack of photos as well - Craig and I only brought about three shirts each. We looked the same every day, so you can imagine photos from every single day just from looking at a few!

Even though we travelled somewhere not so foreign, the experience was not that of the typical tourist. I have never been that interested to visit Austria, Germany, or Switzerland, but knowing locals enabled us to visit more unusual destinations. Their perspectives also colored my experiences of the famous places, with information not published in guidebooks. So THANK YOU SO MUCH, Kalisse, Marek, Oliver, and Rhonda!
