Today was our last day in Paris. After a slow start to the morning, queuing for ages to reserve our seats on the next few train journeys, we travelled on the local RER to the Latin Quarter. We first had a wander in Notre Dame, although we did not see the hunchback. We then strolled through the Latin Quarter and had a nice lunch at a special price that included entree, main and dessert. One thing I love about ice-cream for dessert is that the French are very generous with the whipped cream on top of the ice-cream. Tonight we took in the sights of Paris for the last time on this journey. We braved an open top bus tour, despite the chilly weather (minimum temperature tonight is 8 degrees celsius and day's high was around 18 degrees celsius), to see the sights lit up in all their grandeur. We are heading off to Avignon early tomorrow morning. Time for bed me thinks - bonne nuit.
