Spring is officially here. It's beautiful. The weather is warm, people are happy. It's great.
So it turns out that everything is by season in this country. Everything from the fruits and vegetables to Kim chi. I just recently saw real lemons since I've been here. First time in 6 months I've seen real lemons. Crazyness.
Kim's sister and brother in law were in town for the week and we spent their last night going to Carne Station. $22 for all you can eat and drink. You make your own food and drinks. I took advantage of the drinking part that night. And after Carne Station we went to the batting cages... there were no helmets. No helmets and drunk people... not a safe combination... no one was hurt though. I gracefully did not hit a single ball. I am that good!!!
This weekend was the Lantern Festival for Buddha's birthday. A whole weekend of festivities. I went on the Sunday. I got to make a small lotus lantern, lots of fun. Saw a lot of lanterns and lotus's that day... fake lotus's. I want to see a real one. There were so many booths set up, such a wonderful experience. There were so many foreigners there, it was madness.
There was this parade, such a great parade... except for the fact that it was like 4 hours long. The first hour and a half was great... then it got really boring. There were fire breathing dragons, Buddha's of all shapes and sizes... and lots of LANTERNS. Hence the Lantern Festival.
I took about 200 pictures I think that day. Yea, it really was a great day.
Next week BUSAN... finally.
Smile :)
