So when I came to Costa Rica, I knew I would be hitting their rainy season. What I didn't know is that when they say it rains every day, guess what, it rains every day! I have been here for three weeks and have yet to see a rainless day. The good news is that it typically rains after 2pm or 3pm, which gives me a whole morning to go on my hikes, run my errands and live my life, before I get back to my apartment and await the torrential downpour. The daily afternoon rain also ensures I spend enough time in my apartment to get my writing done!
I am proud to announce that I have officially started to take buses, which is saving me a small fortune on taxi rides! For example, yesterday I took the bus to the Multiplaza Mall and it cost me less than 50 cents. In comparison, a taxi would've charged me 6-8 bucks. Today, I accompanied my neighbor's daughter to San Jose and learned to take the easy bus ride to the Capital city. The ride was comfortable and cost around 55 cents. Nice!
