COLORFUL BOCA
With only one day left in Buenos Aires, a self-guided walking/Subte tour was not going to cut it. Lucky for me, everything in Argentina was sooooo cheap, that I was able to guiltlessly buy a city tour to explore the city treasures I had not seen yet and let me tell you, I was in for quite a treat!
Boca was by far, my favorite Buenos Aires neighborhood. Its claim to fame is being the colorful birthplace of Tango. It was vibrant and joyful and I really could have enjoyed it for much longer, if I had the time.
OTHER BUENOS AIRES FAVORITES
The rest of the tour was extremely enjoyable. The bus took us to water-front Puerto Madero, Paris-like Recoleta, and familiar Palermo. I soaked up the soon-to-be forgotten historical trivia and ended the day with a delicious cut of Argentinian steak. I'm not even a steak lover, but this meal was delicious and for 6 dollars, including drink & tip, the price was hard to beat!
