Caught an early bus back to Dublin today. It's still weird being on a bus that's not our Contiki coach. At one point the driver turned down the radio and Elie and I looked at each other and we were both thinking the same thing - that we expected Kristy to say something over the microphone.

This evening we went back to Temple Bar for some pub grub, then went pub-hopping in search of good live music. We went to one bar where we actually got carded - first time this trip that anyone's asked either of us for ID, so it was quite funny. But the music in there wasn't that good so we went back to the "fun place" - our nickname for Gogarty's Pub. We spent the evening chatting with a couple from Florida. The guy, Patrick, did a very convincing Irish accent, and at one point even had the locals fooled. Granted, it's easier to fool them when they're drunk. The music was great - really lively - and one young guy was dancing with this old lady next to our table. Too funny.

Tonight was the last night of the trip, since tomorrow night doesn't really count. It was a good one. I really love the Irish pub atmosphere - I think if I lived here, I'd go to the pub all the time. Despite the lousy weather, I really like Dublin and I'm sorry to have to leave here tomorrow. I'm so not ready to go home.
