While I am originally from San Diego, California and have already seen many places with Backroads I start off my documented journey in Switzerland. I've been living here for just about 2 months already in the small town of Kandersteg nestled between the mountains. We managed to find a great challet to live in for the summer and are getting quite spoiled by the amazing wood floors and ceiling windows.

I have already run two trips here for Backroads. Both have been multisport family trips. Both had great groups on them. The weather here has been surprisingly good. Afternoon showers seem to be the norm, but luckily most of our activity is during the morning and the occasional shower does little to dampen the spirits.

I sit here right now in Kandersteg with a few days off before I head into a 3 trip-in-a-row working schedule. One last push before I clean up the house and head back to the busy and hectic lifestyle of the US.
