Well,

This week was again fairly uneventful. Friday, I joined some friends for poker night. That was pretty fun. Half the people did not know how to play poker, so we took the night to teach them how. It was nice to get out and see people though. I was supposed to visit a palace in a town nearby on Saturday, but the weather was quite horrid and they wanted to leave very early in the morning. Instead of going to that town, I gave Jen a tour of Arnhem. It was her first time seeing the city, so that made it a lot of fun! It was very rainy and wet, but we made the best out of it. I bought a new coat. :-) After a day in town, we were quite wet and tired, so we got into our pajamas and sat around talking over a glass of wine. Luke had joined us at this point. After that we watched a movie, Music and Lyrics. It turned out to be a really nice and relaxing day. I just remembered yesterday that I still haven't filed for my residency permit. Ooops, I should do that soon. It has already been over a month and a half. I hope they don't mind. I am really frustrated, because it costs a lot of money and I am not here for that long. I am just 2 months over the length I can stay. It is $500 for the permit. Sad day.

This week I found a random windmill in the middle of a neighborhood nearby. It was on the way to the train station. It was really cool!

This weekend I head over to Lich, Germany to see my friend Philipp. I hope that things work out with my travels. This will be the first time that I have travelled by train since I arrived here in Holland. The German train drivers are also threatening to strike, beginning tomorrow, the day I am due to leave. I am really hoping it doesn't conflict with my travels. I don't really know what I would do if it did. I will fill you in after the weekend is complete.

Also, this week our hot water broke. A man was doing repairs on the water in the apartment above us and he must have messed something up. My roommate, Robbie's room became flooded with water and then our hot water was gone. It took 3 days to repair. It was a smelly three days, but today it was repaired. I had just gotten out of taking a shower in 40 degree water when the guy came to repair the water. How ironic eh?

Check out the pictures for this week, I posted a picture of my neighbor (a lovely little guy), and the windmill I found. :-)

I miss you all! Smile:-D
