Well, we've been pretty busy over the last couple of weeks getting everything sorted before the big adventure starts.

We both enjoyed our final days of work followed by an awesome final night out on Cowley road where we had a remarkable turnout from our friends which we really appreciated. The Rum and Ting was flowing in the Jamaican bar but it was sad to be saying goodbye to all our wonderful friends in Oxford, all of whom have been very supportive! (We're definitely going to miss you all!)

The day times were spent clearing and cleaning the flat which was a seemingly endless task, and the evenings were all about meeting up with friends and saying our farewells. On the 30th May we had to say goodbye to our little Oxford home knowing we wouldn't see Oxford again for at least a year, so we handed back our keys feeling a bit low as we have loved living in Oxford.

First stop after leaving Oxford was Rugby where we spent the week with my (Sean's) family,  before we all headed up to Scarborough for the weekend. My niece, Paige had a lot of fun on the Scarborough beach and we all kept busy by visiting Peasholm park, catching the train by the North beach and exploring Whitby. Sadly the weekend passed by very quickly and the Mannings all headed back down South, leaving Katy and I to get on with sorting out all our belongings from Oxford and finishing off all the little jobs that needed doing. (Basically all our things filled the Midgleys' garage, hallways, cupboards, loft etc, so it needed some sorting so that they can actually move at home.) I'm not going to get into all the boring things that needed doing, but when the car sold yesterday it finally started to feel real that we are leaving in just a few days.

We also got the opportunity to go up to Newcastle to help Alice move out, but basically that meant shopping. Katy and Alice spent the day in Primark, Topshop, Warehouse and every other girls clothes shop in Newcastle (and trust me there are loads!), whilst I followed them around holding the bags. It was all worth it though as we then went to the see the Hangover 2 and went for dinner at Nando's, plus Alice took us to the Quay side for some drinks which was really cool. We really enjoyed our couple of days in Newcastle, it's the first time I've ever been there but I'm sure we will go again.

Anyway, just 3 sleeps until we leave for our adventure of a lifetime! None of this has hit home yet, and I doubt it will until we're actually on our way! As my friend Chris keeps saying "Haven't you left yet? You've been banging on about this for ages" Which I have to say is very true haha!.......

Not long now!
